With a passion for dancing from an early age, Dana began dancing at the age of 6 in Far North Queensland. With many years of study and hard work, Dana has studied and achieved formal qualifications in jazz, acro, ballet, lyrical and contemporary. Dana has had experience working with many syllabus having completed examinations in R.A.D, Cochetti, Living Dance and CSTD.
Growing up in small communities, Dana was offered her first assistant teaching role at the age of 11 here at JaBaT in 2012. From here she has continued to grow and learn and was appointed Principal teacher in 2019.
In 2015 Dana travelled to Sydney and achieved her teaching qualification in the Living Dance syllabus. At just 15 she had to do a further year of assistant teaching to be granted her qualification as she was the youngest student to achieve such a qualification. As an affiliated member of ComDance, Dana continues with her formal training and development opportunities under the CSTD syllabus.
In 2022, Dana completed her Acrobatic arts teaching qualification.
With experience teaching every genre from Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary and Hip Hop and everything else that has been thrown her way, Dana continues to educate herself so that the students are continuously reaching their full potential and learning to be the best that they can be.
Dana aims to create a positive and safe environment for every student at the studio. With a firm belief that every student should be encouraged and nurtured to be their best self. Having added to her family with the birth of her son in 2022, Dana is looking forward to what the future has to hold. Her love of dance has taught her that the opportunities are endless.
Jacinta began dancing at the age of 4 and has studied many styles including Jazz, Tap, Hip hop, Ballet, Contemporary and Musical Theatre. Jacinta has studied under the F.A.T.D and R.A.D syllabi and completed several examinations. While in High School, Jacinta competed in NSW regional competitions, interschool competitions and at eisteddfods. Performing highlights include dancing at CAPERS in Tamworth, NSW, and the School Spectacular in Sydney, NSW.
From the age of 19 Jacinta began teaching jazz and branched out to other genres from there. As a teacher, Jacinta aims to provide a safe and fun environment for students to learn, feel confident and enjoy dance.
Outside of dance Jacinta balances working in mining with being a mum to twin girls (who have inherited her passion for dance).
Sasha started dancing at the age of 4 and has never looked back! Sasha has trained in a variety of dance styles, including classical ballet, contemporary, commercial jazz, heels, tap, American pom and musical theatre and has earned her Certificate IV in Vocational Graded Examination in Dance (Ballet) through the RAD syllabus.
Growing up close to the Gold Coast, Sasha was fortunate enough to learn from skilled industry professionals and take advantage of performance opportunities, including performing in several musical theatre productions and competing in solo and group eisteddfods.
After finishing school, Sasha moved to Brisbane to study a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Arts at the University of Queensland. Sasha continued to dance whilst at university, earning a place on UQ’s dance teams and also finding a new passion for all star cheerleading. Sasha represented the University of Queensland in both dance and cheer at a state and national level, including competing at the Australian All Star Cheerleading Federation National Championships, the Australian University Games and the Australian University Nationals.
Sasha began student teaching at the age of 13 and has since gained extensive experience teaching students from tiny tots through to adults, including in preparing for exams and choreographing eisteddfod and concert routines.
Sasha loves to share her passion for dance with all of her students, and strives to make her classes a safe and supportive environment for dancers to grow in confidence and stive to be the best they can be.
